CHALCEDONY: Chalcedony is a gemstone derived from quartz and morganite, and variations are also known by different varieties based on the appearance such as agate, chrysoprase, jasper, onyx, and many others. Stones labeled specifically as chalcedony are typically a white, grey-blue, or brown translucent and single-shade stone.

Chalcedony tanks a 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale of hardness.

LAPIS: Lapis Lazuli, or more commonly referred to as Lapis, is a feldspar silicate mineral known for its intense opaque blue shade. Lapis was treasured by the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, Greece, and Rome, and when ground up into a powder it is traditionally used to create the natural shade of ultramarine in art.

Lapis ranks a 5 to 6 on the Mohs scale of hardness.
