• QUARTZ - One of the most plentiful minerals in existence with multiple semi-precious variations, Quartz is a silicon dioxide based gemstone used in jewelry. Smoky quartz is a brownish grey, translucent variety of quartz that ranges in clarity from almost complete transparency to an almost-opaque brownish-gray or black crystals.

Quartz ranks a 7 on the Mohs scale of hardness.
